Strategic product development

We consider product development as a strategic dimension in corporate development.

In order to adopt an entrepreneurial perspective, we turn our gaze to our client’s entire portfolio of offerings and not too much to the individual product. For us, the product is always a triad of hardware, software and integrated service components and thus always a multi-dimensional system that needs to be developed as a portfolio.

In our experience, companies can only develop sustainably if they keep all dimensions and their entire portfolio in mind and think less in terms of singular products or projects. We use this thinking in our strategic consulting, which covers all aspects of managing product and service portfolios.

How does strategic consulting for the product portfolio work?

Our strategic consulting is focused on all aspects of product and portfolio development. Therefore, we often work in a complementary way to classical consultants who

consultants who focus on business management and commercial aspects or on human resources and organizational development aspects.

Our focus is also expressed accordingly in the way we start projects with our clients.

Design and design engineering

Design and design engineering has become an integral part of product development in the capital goods industry, as design is able to adequately communicate functionality, performance and quality like no other discipline.

We specialise in the development of capital goods and understand the needs of engineering, design, the special requirements of economic efficiency, sustainability and service-friendliness. We therefore meet our clients’ internal developers at eye level and see ourselves as developers working in partnership on a joint project.

Design in the capital goods sector starts with a joint analysis of the technical components and the device or machine architecture, takes into account aspects of ergonomics, comprehensibility, operability, but also assembly, the sensible use of common parts, the development of a uniform design language or a design system by applying the same design principles.

We therefore also always design machines and systems from the inside out, handing over our input in the form of CAD data that is directly integrated into the design.
